Acrelec

Acrelec designs and manufactures customer-facing technology: self-service kiosks, click and collect kiosks and collection points, digital menu boards and mobile ordering. Its distinguishing characteristic is that it does not sell hardware alone but complete solutions of hardware, software, service and deployment, which is what made the combination with MDIS Services logical for both sides.

Steve was Managing Director of Acrelec International from February 2013, overseeing the operational, service and sales teams across the group. Acrelec grew to operate in seventeen European countries, and he subsequently oversaw its expansion into the Middle East and the United States, serving customers in the retail, quick service and hospitality sectors. The client base came to include McDonald’s, KFC, Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Walmart and Carrefour.

The group also extended its capability beyond hardware, acquiring HyperActive in 2016 to add predictive kitchen technology to the portfolio. Steve left the business in February 2018.
