QikServe is the enterprise platform for guest self-service in hospitality. Across kiosks, tablets, web and mobile applications, it allows operators to offer ordering and payment through whichever channel the guest prefers, integrated with the systems they already run. At the point of Steve’s appointment as Chairman in October 2018 the product was well regarded and the market was developing, but the business was under significant financial pressure.
The restructuring proceeded on two fronts: the appointment of a new chief executive, and the rebuilding of the commercial model. Working in partnership with the incoming chief executive, Steve oversaw the transition of the business from an early-stage venture under pressure to an established platform operating across Europe and the Middle East, and from 2022 expanding rapidly in the United States.
In September 2024 QikServe was acquired by Access Hospitality, delivering a successful exit for its investors and concluding a six-year appointment.
